Dealing with Constant Joint Pain: Seeking Advice

While my joints are hypermobile, I feel a constant achiness and stiffness. Stretching seems to help, and things like sitting or laying down for too long tends to hurt, like I can practically feel my joints stiffening up. It's a dull, achey pain, and is mostly super uncomfortable/overwhelming. Navigating how everything feels is hard, so I kinda just wanted to see if anyone feels the same and what they found helpful. I've been meaning to ask my doctor about supplements and methods for sleeping better with joint pain, so I'd love to hear experiences with that sort of thing.

The joint supplement I take is called Dona, I feel like it really helps my joints. I have the same thing though with sitting/staying in one position for too long; if I keep myself moving it not only helps during the day but also with getting to sleep.

Same! It hurts to walk in the morning and if I sit too long, I feel my whole body hurting. I have been trying ginger and turmeric water packets I got from Kroger and I think it is helping, I just started doing it. It’s supposed to help with the inflammation.

Stretching makes it all worse for me. The only thing that has helped has been physical therapy, and keeping up with the exercises to strengthen my muscles. The less I stretch the better I feel, which seems weird.

Ok so for supps. I started taking collagen regularly. I think it helps some. And then for pain relief, I go to acupuncture and also a few months ago I started with a new PT who does fascial counterstain. It's weird but it has helped me so much in the last few months. There's still a few things we're working on but overall I feel more "glued together." She also has me doing gentle stability exercises at home which should help over time too. But seriously, I highly recommend finding a PT who does fascial counterstain.
