Me and my boyfriend have been on a break for his mental health. I have a problem with being extremely clingy and he has expressed to his friends about me basically being annoying- never telling me I was. Is that okay as long as we still love each other?

You need to talk to each other about this. What happens when the break is over? Things will go back to the way before. While love is an important aspect of relationships, keeping one going solely because of that feeling is not good or healthy and will only lead to something miserable. And the fact he kept quiet until this blew up to a whole entire break is a bit unfair to you as you never knew what you did wrong. Ask him for more information about what about your behavior is bothering him. Would there be a way for you two to compromise? Maybe you can set a stricter schedule for when to meet-up, or how often you should text, etc. Make sure BOTH of your needs are being met by the way. He needs to make sure to give you attention while you need to make sure to give him space. It's about finding the right balance both of you can enjoy.
