The right shoes are EVERYTHING. I always place having good stable, comfortable shoes over everything. A little bit of a heel and padding- so no flats or if you like ones like classic converse you should probably have insoles. Some shoe brands even make sneakers that don’t require you to bend over to put them on which is lovely. Then getting new shoes once the current ones wear out- it’s sooner than you think and is more expensive to live this way but it is SO worth it.

absolutely!! I can't walk in any shoes that are not supprtive and fit my super-orthodics. I'll look into ones that don't require bending over. It would save time and spoons

TAPE. this will be harder to get if you have a latex allergy, but it's cheaper than splints and braces if you don't need them yet (though they are worth the investment)

Be aware they may just give you PT. Try getting k tape, there's a ton of videos online for any problem area you have. Strength the muscles around the joints but go slow so you don't overdo it. Heat is your friend. Put dry rice (NOT minute rice) in a sock and put it in the microwave and use as a hotpack.
