First UTI, need advice on treatment

I have a UTI, and it’s my first time having one: what do y’all recommend I do? I bought some AZO Yeast Infection medicine and some cranberry supplements, so I hope they help. I wanted to get the maximum strength AZO medicine, but it has Polyethylene Glycol in it which I’m allergic to. Hopefully it clears up and I don’t have to go to the doctor!

My doctor prescribes nitrofurantoin. I usually feel better in a couple of days. I take DMannose and cranberry supplements as preventive treatments

I think this is what the doctor prescribed me, and it worked! I’m all better now, but I do take supplements now just to be safe, I could not survive another UTI, it was SO bad-😭
