Dealing with Chronic Pain: Seeking Advice

This whole entire month I’ve had pain every single day… it really puts me down. I just want this pain to go away…. Advil doesn’t work and I can’t take sumatriptan everyday because it caused me to have rebound migraines … what do I do? I’m still waiting on my neurologist to approve my shot since the preventative medication didn’t work :(

Naproxen is a great over the counter medication for migranes, should never over take though. Definitely see your doctor but until then try to avoid triggers such as bright lights, loud noises, and lots of motion. Best of luck🙏

I was on sumatripan too and it did nothing. I was just put on nurtec 2 weeks ago and they help me a lot. They are a dissolvable tablet,it disolves in like .5 seconds.

Is it possibly hormonal? My migraines turned out to be connected to my periods 🙃

Weed doesn’t help with the pain but it helps me feel better when recovering ❤️‍🩹

Hi I recently started Botox in my head/ neck for mine. I am only a 3rd into the treatment so I’m not sure if that is working yet. BUT I just got my hands on Nurtec and it actually helps better than meds I’ve tried in the past.

did your neurologist have you try preventative medications first? I heard you have to go through that before the Botox or any other shots?
