Dealing with Chronic Pain: Need Advice and Hope

I’m so sick of this pain. I’ve been dealing with it for 28 years on and off. I really just want a hysterectomy but my dr is dragging her feet. I need advice or hope. Whatever you have t give.

I also have fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis. My doctor calls it the trifecta 🤣

I am 47 I've had Fibromyalgia since I was 8. It started in my knees (sadly the knee problem is still very much an issue) I'm having a partial hysterectomy on the 22nd I'm only having my uterus removed. It is going to put a stop to my out of control periods and hopefully take away my endometriosis pain. I absolutely don't think it will have anything to do with easing any other pains. Fibromyalgia isn't normally a uterus issue. But it it is a screwed up message signal from your brain 🧠 to the rest of your body that says you are in alot of extra pain then normal people ever feel!! If you have a good reason that has been on going and depending on your age your OBGYN would know best if you need to have a hysterectomy or not. I wish you both the best of luck and hope you talk indepth with your Dr as to why you think it's in your best interest to have any surgery!!!

Hang in there. I had my hysterectomy about 10 years before my diagnosis. But I probably already had fibro then. It's helped with the pain of my periods, but it took my 2 years to mentally adjust (due to not being able to have hrt). Continue speaking up for yourself, going to other specialists if you have to.
