Tmj usually a jaw split I was given jaw exercises because of underlying conditions, cut back on caffeine, eat softer food, no popcorn, don't chew gum. That's what I suggest from the packet I got for tmj.

I worked with a specialist, and dental appliances (both daytime and night guard), medication, PT, and a nightly heat pack on the jaw have helped me

Have you tried physical therapy for the tmj?

One way to deal with constant pain is by reminding yourself that your pain may be invisible to others, but it doesn't make it any less real. Focus on how you feel and try not to worry about what others think. Additionally, finding support from people who understand your situation can help you feel less alone in your struggle with chronic pain.
