Dealing with Chronic Pain and Inflammation

I have chronic pain that I believe is being caused by inflammation. Twice in this year I have been prescribed Prednisone and it works way better than Ibuprofen but starts messing with my sleep. So far there has be no underlying cause found. Back in March I had my doctor run some tests for autoimmune diseases and they were negative. I'm going back in Monday and I plan to ask if there is something else they can look at. I have had a lot of other weird stuff going on the last few years. I have become intolerant of alcohol and caffeine after loving both. My arm swoll up for no reason they could find. At this point I am taking better care of myself than I ever have (I'm 46) and I feel worse than I ever have.
