Dealing with Chronic Back Pain: Seeking Advice

Hi there; I’m 24 and I’ve had back problems since I was 12. Last year, I was diagnosed with arthritis in my spine. Every doctor I’ve seen has suggested I use OTC pain relievers, but I can’t take NSAIDS because of some stomach issues. Any recommendations on how to deal with the pain?

I have found a chiropractor that has helped me so much. Because I can't have a typical spinal adjustment she uses laser, ultrasound, EMS, light massage. It helps a lot for pain control. She is the reason I'm upright and walking. If you can find a good Chiropractor they are worth their weight in gold

I've heard that people use those period cramp devices for back pain. I don't know how helpful they are but I know people use it. You might want to do research on that one. Also patients I take care of use the TENS unit. It send minor impulses to your nerves and help manage pain. I know that TENS work for arthritis based pain as well as all kinds of pain. Most hospitals use it too.
