Dealing with Bipolar Symptoms

hi, so I've been all over the place today. I was happy and calm this morning, then I got so tired that I got irritable and seriously angry, now I'm emotional and relaxed again. I don't know why I'm sooo moody, but this is bipolar right? just symptoms. I might be wrongly diagnosed but I have had it since 2015.

Im do dr but that reminds me of when they diagnosed me with borderline personality disorder I have been in dialectical behavioral therapy for the past 13 yrs I have a better handle on it now when I was in my 20s I was all over the place. After several years of DBT, they removed my BPD diagnosis, and now im just an unspecified personality disorder with features of BPD. So my suggestion is to get this great book called the DBT diary. Its the next best thing to a dbt class.

For me personally, episodes tend to last longer, and I'll stay at an extreme for at least a few days or so. They also don't usually have a cause that I can identify. However, bipolar and especially bipolar 2 look really different for everyone. It's also possible that this isn't a symptom, and mood swings can just happen sometimes for all sorts of reasons. Whatever it is, I feel like in the short term the best way I cope with my mood swings is by not aggravating them so they don't turn into a full blown episode. To the previous person's point this is actually something they teach in dbt, acting against your emotion urges in order to not get lost in hopeless cycles.
