Dealing with Big Life Changes

There have been/will be big changes going on in my life and I'm trying not to get overwhelmed. Anyone else dealing with this? Got any advice?

I’m in the midst of a stressful situation with my health and financial stressors; it’s not easy to manage everything! My suggestion would be to keep reaching out for support from others. You recognized that you’re at your limit of what you can handle before overwhelm. It’s a great idea to find ways for others to help you out! I’d recommend taking time to engage in your interests and hobbies, even if it’s just a little bit of time. Really give yourself that time to just let go of all of the stress. Remember that you will be able to come back to it later, and write it down if you feel like you may forget! Ask people for practical help, like organizing and cleaning, or for things like distractions from what you’ve got going on. If seeing animal pics and memes helps you feel good, engage with that! What I’m saying is, treat yourself and do things that make you feel good. You’re reminding yourself that you are capable of more than one emotion when you seek out care and connection. Whatever works for you, I believe you can do this! And remember to be kind to yourself, especially if you do go into a shut down or meltdown. It’s okay to feel the way you do, and you deserve nonjudgmental validation while you get through this.
