Dealing with Anxiety in Social Situations

i’m stressing because i feel like i can never go out with my boyfriend to meet with his friends (he has many… many friends) because i always get panicky and feel the need to leave. my anxiety makes me seem like i’m really rude and standoffish and i hate that my boyfriend’s friends think i’m actually like that. i don’t know how to ground myself when i’m in that environment. any tips? what do you guys do when you’re in that type of situation?

It's also super helpful if your boyfriend supports you in overcoming your social anxiety like for me mine holds my hand or rubs my back

Can I constantly do have to walk away from situations take a breather because otherwise I do fall into panic attacks so many different people around so I'll be in a big people for let's say 10 15 minutes and then I'll step out for 5 and then I'll come back

Hey! I feel like that all the time especially when i first moved closer to my bf ❤️ for me personally i just start with one person that i feel the least stressed around and talk with them after a certain amount of time I branch out another person or two It's the unknown people that really stress me out once I get to know them a little it's a lot less stressful I don't feel more familiar
