Dealing with Anemia Caused by Periods

How do you deal with anemia, especially caused by periods? I had my period twice in a row. It stopped for two days before starting again, so altogether I've been bleeding for two weeks now and I think I might be anemic from it.

One see a doctor one that deals with that stuff and try to eat more iron rich foods and take iron supplements.

Hi I'm 24 and I recently dealt with with the same issue. Last month My period was very unbalanced and I was bleeding for almost 1 full mo before I decided to go to the hospital. My hemoglobin level was 6, They told me I was anemic and I needed 2 blood transfusions. They also told me to start taking birth control to stop the bleeding. They recommended that I visit an obgyn doc for further diagnosis. Now I take iron supplements and eat iron rich foods like spinach and raisins. Definitely visit your doctors if your period last longer than normal.
