I take omeprozal (don’t know how to spell it I apologize) once a day sometimes twice a day depending on my stomach and my acid reflux problems like the severity of what I’m eating

Omeprazole is the only med that works for me and sometimes I need it twice a day. It does sound like you need to work on food triggers

Watch what foods trigger your acid reflux bad, what foods are bearable with it, and what foods don’t trigger it at all. Also there’s different types of acid reflux, after eating or an empty stomach. I recommend being patient and finding out what works and what doesn’t. Some days will be better than others! Also like someone suggested already, a journal is a perfect way to keep track of it all!

I'd have a diary and write down what foods make you feel bad and or give you bad reflux. I found out that fast foods, greasy foods, foods high in acid, and some meats make me sick. I take Omeprazole and lots of people praise it as do I and I drink milk a lot because it coats my throat. But definitely do some self research and then tell the doctor about it, I would also stress to tell them how debilitating this is or how painful it is!

For me, they did a partial wrap (Funduplication) bc I have a slow moving esophagus. Recovery was short, about 2 weeks, and I needed my bf to help me get off our couch, go to the bathroom, and out of bed for the first week. The pain was real!! Overall it is a safe procedure, complications aren't common. The surgery took about 45mins. Make sure you find a good surgeon if you decide to do it, do your research!!!!

Surgery was the ONLY thing that helped me. :/

what exactly did they do as far as surgery? I'm hesitant to have surgery as I always have so many complications.
