Dealing with a Self-Diagnosis of Autism

Hi guys! I saw this app advertised and thought it would be good for me to come here for comfort. I've been dealing with a self diagnosis of autism and I haven't really told anyone about it. I work with special needs children and I see myself in them so much and it makes me wonder if that is really me. I'm talking to my therapist tomorrow about how I feel to get her input on it, but I'm kinda nervous about it. advice would be welcomed please!

Hello! A couple years back I was also suspecting being autistic =) an autistic person told me while I was suspecting that, “if you think you’re autistic and you’ve researched about it, there’s an 80% chance you’re right.” To be honest, when I talked to my therapist about it, it felt like a huge relief to tell her in a straight to the point manner! It was something along the lines of “I’ve been researching about this for a while, and because of that I think I’m autistic.” She was very supportive about it, so perhaps yours will be too! Once you get that initial sentence out of the way, the rest of the discussion should flow just fine =) sorry if my phrasing is super redundant hehe
