Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

i rest more (laying down works if it's a passing moment, but you don't want to spend all day laying in bed if you can avoid it since that can make things worse over time. i sit on the couch a lot too), try to focus on slowing my breathing (i get hyperpnea with mine), rehydrate, check if my surroundings are too hot (my symptoms are worse in the heat). i keep a pulse ox on me so i can check my hr. and do things to lower it if it spikes. if you mean more long term, depends on what you can tolerate but exercising and water are important. ive been told that deconditioning makes pots symptoms worse, so if you can find ways to do some gentle cardio, or if you can do exercises that happen while you're sitting like a recumbent bike or something, that should help over time. other than that, keeping hydrated is very important and is something you can do even while resting. water and consistent hydration has been the best at alleviating my symptoms so far
