Dating with a diagnosis: Has it impacted your love life?

Hi everyone! Honestly just wondering if anyone is single and this diagnosis has impacted their dating life. Also, anyone froze eggs??

I was single when I was diagnosed. It’s hard to find someone who accepts your pain and how it impacts your sex life. I have also had a hysterectomy, so my partner had to accept one day we will adopt. It’s tricky but good ones are out there! I made the mistake of dating someone who resented me for my pain, but ended that and found someone who loves me for my faults. Best of luck!!!

thank you!!! the amazing part for me is (and I will never complain) I don’t really have pain? — I have extensive disease but truly little pain, especially now that I’ve had surgery and am on orilissa/birth control. Sex isn’t an issue. It’s more just feeling uncomfortable about having a chronic diagnoses to “reveal” and finding someone who would put up with potential IVF/adoption. It’s a lot to drop/think about/accept and it makes me skittish with dating. It’s honestly whacked my confidence 🥺 But you’re right— there are good ones out there. How did you meet yours??? Apps have been such a cess pool lately 😥😂
