How do you deal with dating with chronic issues? I am constantly rejected because of mine, it is so lonely.

If those people rejected you then they weren’t right for you. Be glad they didn’t waste your time. I told my ex about my MS before we got married, but he didn’t really believe me until he saw one of my relapses. Then he was angry at me for being sick! That was an ugly divorce. But I survived it and moved on. My new hubby has MS too so we understand each other’s illnesses. before the pandemic we’d go to MS conferences, adaptive camping trips, assisted skiing, and sailing together. Don’t be discouraged. A partner/ friend that will understand you is out there.

I second that! Don’t diminish your light for someone who doesn’t deserve it!

Understand that you come first in your life. You deserve someone who takes the time to understand your conditions and provide that support. I wouldn’t give up hope. Yes, dating can be especially difficult for us chronically ill and disabled folk, but eventually finding a partner who appreciates and cares for you makes it all the more worth it. We can’t force these connections with people and they will come and go as they please. However the right people for our lives will be made known with time.
