Does anyone else have really dark/disturbing dreams? I’m sure narcolepsy isn’t the only cause of mine, but I was wondering if it could be related. I thought perhaps just dreaming for more time than everyone else might have something to do with it, since I’m having more dreams than everyone else in general, maybe that just means more chances for nightmares than everyone else. Thoughts?

I feel that narcolepsy doesn’t cause them to be dark, but it does cause the extreme vividness of them which amplifies how they affect me. I feel you on this one

Not nightmares they don’t necessarily scare me but they’re extremely violent and I can feel everything that happens but that could be more in line with my hallucinations

I’ve had reoccurring bouts of nightmares since I was a kid. But I have noticed a connection between nightmares worsening along with my narcolepsy

i’ve had extremely vivid dreams since i was a kid, including chapter-like dreams spanning years and feeling what’s going on in them. i’ve recently come to the conclusion i frequently have really disturbing dreams but i don’t always call them nightmares bc i’m so used to them.
