I have had issues with coughing up mucus and mucus stones occasionally for almost 5 years now and I have gone to the allergist a few times and they have prescribed many different things. The only thing that helps at all is Claritin (loratadine) and Gabapentin but I have to remember to take it everyday or the post nasal drip gets bad again. Since being on this app I have come to realize that I think my post nasal drip comes from a side effect of taking Wellbutrin ( Bupropion). Is this a medicine that you happen to be on? I have not made any changes to determine that yet but just wantted to let you know in case it's the same situation for you. Oh also I heard Concerta also had the same side effects. I hope something I offered helps you.

Thank you for sharing your situation. Sounds very similar to my condition and I also take allergy pills (Cetirizine hcl) to help. This also seems to be the only thing that helps me and I have to double dose daily. I'm not on any other medication besides my Albuterol for asthma. This issue started a few years ago after I had an untreated sinus and lung infection. After I got that cleared I was left with this severe post nasal drip. I could cough up several ounces per day without some relief from the allergy pills.
