Daily Ear Ringing: Hearing Damage or Concussion?

I experience daily ear ringing. I don’t know if it’s hearing damage or related to a concussion I had from over a year ago (symptoms still continued for a whole year)

After my last 2 concussions all my sensory areas became an issue- I would say see if you can find a concussion clinic near you and make an appointment

yeah I’m gonna go back after I transfer to real insurance from student insurance. As a student, everyone brushed me off 😭

It took me six months to get a proper diagnosis

Are your ears super sensitive to the weather/temperature/wind? That is one thing I noticed with my ears along with the ringing- if I went out in the wind my ears would be in so much pain

so my ears now randomly ring and itch. It used to be one ear would have a sharp stabbing pain for the majority of my concussion. But it’s become mild enough where I can’t tell if it’s post concussion syndrome or hearing damage 😂

I have had over 8 concussions and I have daily ear ringing. Sometimes i can block it out, but other times it’s so loud. I’ve been dealing with this for 12 years so I’m pretty used to it right now. Unfortunately it’s one of the many post concussion symptoms I still struggle with. Sometimes the side effects can last years

I’m on concussion number 3 with symptoms continuing for over a year now and I also have occasional ear ringing. Not always the same ear - but it usually signals a migraine is coming and it didn’t start until around the 1 year mark or so. Always worth seeing a doc if you’re concerned tho!
