so this is not about me but about my mom. one of her uncles passed away two months ago and we didn't have the money for the gas to drive four hours to go to his funeral. This weekend her brother in law turned 60 and we had the spare cash to go to his party three hours away. Only to have my mom's uncle's ex wife message her saying that she hoped she had fun but she should have considered the funeral more important since her her other uncle went to her moms funeral and we made it to said uncles funeral, just not this ones. Now she's upset because she couldn't make it up to the funeral.
