Cymbalta for Fibromyalgia: Is it Worth Trying?

How is Cymbalta working for Fibromyalgia? For me, it's useless for the pain. Then again, I reside in a state that has limited medicinal mj but not yet legalized its use. 😥

Cymbalta doesn’t work at all for my pain. They tried increasing the dose but it just made me sleepy all the time. It does help with the depression and associated mood swings though. Of course, it’s almost impossible to get off of

For me , low dose naltrexone is what ended up helping. Finding the medication that works best for you can tend to be a little bit of a battle at first.

Although I have not tried Cymbalta, I have been taking Amitriptyline for two years, which is very helpful to me... maybe it's worth trying until I get my hands on medical marijuana.

Are you taking the maximum dosage? I also think that if nothing else helps with pain you should try medical Marijuana you might be surprised how much it can help with pain

Cymbalta was a nightmare for me. Made my pain worse. I also live in a state that doesn't allow Marijuana usage. Visied a state where recreational use was allowed and tried it. Really helped with both my pain and the anxiety of chronic pain.

I was told to take this drug gradually, so I started with a 20mg dose then raised to 40 and then to 60. Unfortunately, the pain relief was negligible, so I stopped taking it.

Cymbalta helped me for a while with my back pain but I stopped using it when I could tolerate the pain because i could not stand the constipation!

I personally had an aweful experience. I became sluggish, lacked all motivation, and I gained a lot of weight. It works for a lot of people but if you're interested in MJ you should see if you'd be able to get a prescription for that or cbt first
