Looking for advice on Crohn's treatment options

Was diagnosed with mild to moderate crohns in august and had a follow up colonoscopy in may. Had bacterial overgrowth, ulcers, gastritis and inflammation in the duodenal ileum / small intestine. Am a bit hesitant about starting biologic drugs / infusions. Anything that has worked for you? Or any thoughts on biologics?

Sorry this will be a long one, for side effects entyvio would knock me out i would come home from the infusion center and immediately go to bed i would be exhausted and just felt like i was coming down with a cold i would be fine after i woke up from my nap tho, and for stelara when it was working for that first bit i had no side effects that i remember but after it stopped my crohns symptoms started back up and the side effects of getting it were similar to entyvio. I think those to made me feel that way because they werent working. For humira the only side effects i really get are a bit of swelling and itching at the injection site but it goes away in a few days and occasionally i get a headache when i wake up the next morning but thats less common. For humira i have found that it is 100 percent worth it i feel so much better, most days i can actually wake up and go to work all day and I’ll actually be able to do things after work if i want to, i still get bad days but they feel more manageable than the bad days used to. Even though stelara and entyvio didnt work those were still worth it to me too because the infusion got be a bit more comfortable with needles to the point where i can now give myself humira had i started right away with humira i dont think i could have done it.

Ive also been diagnosed as mild/moderate! ive tried a couple biologics humira has been amazing i take it weekly and i am able to do most things as i did before. i did entyvio for a while but it didnt work and gave me a few side effects that werent so nice and stelara worked for a bit but stopped, my immune system seems to be particularly over-active so waiting two months in between doses didnt work for my body. I would highly recommend trying biologics if you can but i completely understand the hesitation i dont like needles at all so infusions/injections terrified me still kind of do but its helped so much

thank you so much for this ! Can I ask what the side effects like of biologics looked like and if in your opinion it was way worth the hassle / time / side effects etc in comparison to helping your crohns ?

I had severe crohns before needing a bowel resection surgery. I’ve been on Remicade for over 10 years and it has been a lifesaver
