Struggling to maintain a healthy weight with Crohn's disease

Does anyone have any tips to gain weight? I was diagnosed with crohn’s at 14 and had hit a low of weighing 90lbs at 5’8. Since then I’ve been able to gain back a decent amount but almost six years later I’m still struggling to maintain a healthy weight.

i was diagnosed with anorexia because of how much weight i lost and they gave me ensure plus shakes!! they’re super thick so they weren’t the easiest thing ever for me to get down so i made them into smoothies and milkshakes a lot :) if that’s ever something you’re interested in i would be happy to send some recipes made myself and some i found ♡

Ensure!! I was diagnosed at 11 because I was only 49 pounds and 4'11, and before medicine the doctor put me on ensure plus nutrition shakes. Ever since then, I've been using them with or without food (just make sure you drink enough bottles in the day) and it's helped wonders! I feel better and I can keep my weight up. I wish you luck!!

I also have Crohn’s and I found that eating small amounts more frequently often helps

Has your doctor put you on nutrition shakes? That’s what I take when I can’t eat anything. That or you may need to be hospitalized for a week or two and put on a controlled diet. And I know some people with crohn’s even get feeding tubes when they have trouble with weight gain.
