I have 50% of my left coronary artery blocked and cardiologist has given me cholesterol medicine. I want to know if anybody has treated this differently. I’m talking about trying to get rid of the occlusion with proper, additional or different nutrition. Too tired all day. Exercise little by little? Thank you!

I went through a cardiac rehab program after my bypass surgery and they used the pritikan plan. It recommends a plant based diet with no added sugars or salt. If you want meat they allow for fish and lean meats no red meat at all.

@DebNY Thank you for your reply. Are you able to exercise.m? If so, what type of exercise are you able to do or what exercise do you enjoy doing?

I had an abnormal stress echo about five years ago. The cardiologist at the time said there’s no way of telling how much blockage unless we did a coronary angiogram. I was not willing to do that, so I found a plant-based MD and started a completely plant-based diet. If you get a chance, watch the documentary Forks Over Knives, and there is a book written by Dr Caldwell Esselstyn called how to prevent and reverse heart disease. It has been my Bible for five years.

@DizzyLizzy Thank you for your comment and suggestions of the documentary and book. I will look into both.
