I am a person who likes fictional gore and horror, I have since I was young, when my trauma happened I dove deeper and deeper into topics that were severely uncomfortable for others. I learned that this is the "discomfort zone", a lot of people with trauma or severe anxiety fall into topics that are horrifying to the average person, however because we are used to feeling uncomfortable, it doesn't affect us as hard. But being in a safe, comfortable environment can cause discomfort because we didn't have any comfort during trauma.
