How do you cope with your symptoms?

Short term, if I have horrible anxiety, I try and shock my system. This is usually in the form of drinking freezing water so that the ice is near my face, and I’m focusing on something. Taking a shower can be a quick way to help my system. Long term, I am on medication and in therapy. I have a psychiatrist that I see regularly. And I will be starting dialect behavioral treatment soon. I have heard great things about DBT, and I like that it has a routine structure for me to follow. Having a healthy routine helps me feel more in control of my mental health. It makes me feel like I am making good strides to support my long-term symptoms. They make some medication, and therapy is excellent, but trying some homeopathic remedies has been helpful for me. After research, a lot of it says that homeopathic remedies are good when routine. So meditating, journaling, etc., are done at the same time, with the same amount of effort as much as possible

If you mean you physically, I try and distract myself by doing something that will get my mind off of them or relieve the pain a bit. If you mean mentally, I just recommend reminding yourself of everything you’re going to be and do in the future and how great those things are gonna be compared to yourself today.
