I love the 5 rule. Sometimes I have to switch it up but it's a great distraction. Basically, you use your senses to distract you. For example, name 5 things you see. 4 things you could touch. 3 things you hear. 2 things you smell. And 1 thing you taste. You can switch up the numbers and senses depending on what's available. When I really need a distraction, I'll add to it. Like 5 things I see that are green. 4 things I could though that are alive. 3 things I hear that aren't from humans. Etc.

This might not be the best way but I write down everything that crosses my mind and then take a fat nap lol

I don't know what your going through but for me something I've found to be really therapeutic is journaling. A lot of my anxiety comes from overthinking or feeling overwhelmed by things I need to get done. Seeing everything on paper and planning things out helps me feel more relaxed and structured. Also its just nice to just kind of mind dump on paper, like the act of writing itself is sooo relaxing omg. It's also a great distraction, if you were overthinking abt something for example, like sum you can't really control at the moment but its still bothering you, writing abt your day or a memorable part of it can be a rlly positive distraction :)
