The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise. Deep breaths and say aloud 5 things you can see, 4 you can feel, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. It helps you to come back to your surroundings and always calms me

Breathing and meditation are great for a " long run" tactic, but when you anxiety is severe you need, I think, a medical answer to daily life challenges. People can change and therapy is very serviceable also for the long run. I don't think anyone should hesitate to use medication to get some semblance of a " normal" daily life 🧬 ntil other things -- like mentioned-- start really helping.

I try to distract myself. For me that often involves reading, but something else like drawing could also help.

I know that’s a sucky answer but if you can get your breathing under control it will help with the attack itself
