Feeling Left Behind: Coping with Mental Illness in a World of Success

I’ve come to learn that those kind of people are really no different than myself. We are the center of our own universe and see everything that happens to us. It’s a lot like social media: people are only showing the aspects of their life they want you to see. Behind closed doors it’s a whole other story.

honestly they really don't have their life together it just seems like it. and most of those people had it laid out for them, didn't have chronic illness or mental illness, parents paid for their college, they're dealing with a lot less setbacks than you are! also don't compare yourself. this was really hard for me to not do, but the older i get im learning literally everybody does everything at their own pace, i'm in school with a 60 year old, 17 year olds, 25 year olds, 45 year olds, don't judge yourself on your pace, as long as you're working toward progress you're headed in the right direction (:

I’m 29 and still figuring out how to do life lol 😂 I’ve supported myself since I graduated high school but am realizing I hate where I’m at and have no clue what I want to do in life. Feeling lost is an understatement 🤦🏼‍♀️
