Coping with the Loss of a Parent: Seeking Advice

I lost my dad at the age of 24/25 he was only 52 and me and him had a real close relationship he pretty much raised me my whole life but now even tho my dad has been going 11 years I find myself stuck in nostalgia ..it’s to the point it makes me sick to know he’s not around and I often get stuck thinking about all the fun places he use to take me and the fun we had fishing etc is anyone like this ??? What do you do to help with it??? I’m now a single full time father of a 7 year old and I feel like I’m going down the same path as my dad but I’m just having a lot of anxiety and health issues what is the best coping mechanism?

oh wow that is crazy and too bad too. You'll have to at least try for a good fishing trip in this summer with your little in his honor ☺️

You could honor your dad's memory in making memories with your child doing those same kind of things and if possible visiting those same places. Even tell your child how special the place or activity is to you because you did them with your dad. Grief is a lifelong journey and there's no timeline or right or wrong way to experience it. Hope this can help
