Hi there, I'm a young woman in my 20s who has several different health concerns, including Ménière's disease, bipolar 2, and IBS-D. I work full time as a secretary at a high school, and I'm a part-time college student. My health problems frequently make it difficult to perform everyday tasks, which leaves me feeling guilty and drained that I am not who I want to be. How do you cope with not living up to your personal standards due to your health getting in the way?

Find other goals to orient yourself around and drive towards. Originally I was going to join ROTC to pay for my college and hopefully join the Air Force as a pilot, but my health ended up getting in the way just as I hit my senior year and was getting everything squared away. Accept it, don't beat yourself up over it and keep on moving forward, if you can. Don't forget to take care of yourself, either.
I know for me I try to keep my mind busy
