How do you avoid the embarrassment? I've had so many horror stories that haunt me to this day, how do you cope?

Honestly, I’ve just accepted that I have a lot of GI-related excitement in my life, and that’s nothing to be embarrassed about! Everybody poops, has diarrhea and constipation, gets bloated, passes gas, etc. Some of us just do it a lot more frequently and intensely, and that’s okay! I use humor and talk about poop a lot to normalize it, because it is a normal part of life for me and the people around me. I highly recommend checking in with a therapist to get some help processing if you’re dealing with a lot of negative thoughts and feelings around your symptoms! ❤️

this isn't healthy so I dont reccomend doing it all the time but Tylenol super strength constipates me if i have to use the bathroom in a place where it's embarrassing to (school, restaurants, etc)

Always be prepared. I keep those hospital throw up bags (Amazon) in every bag, purse, and car I own. Keep extra clothes in a bag or car. Even if you never need this (hopefully) it allows for peace of mind.
