I really want to have a job but I’m too disabled to work. I can’t drive and haven’t been able to find a remote position anywhere. It doesn’t help that I also don’t have a college degree. Being stuck at home all day makes me feel like a lazy joke but I genuinely haven’t been able to find anyone to hire me. How do you cope with this? Does anybody else feel upset that they can’t work and contribute to their family financially? I feel so lost and alone in this.

Our worth as human beings is not tied to our jobs. We are worthy for being. That said finding work remote or otherwise is not always easy. Don’t settle for the first job that comes your way if it’s not the right fit. Don’t give up the right job will come your way when it’s meant to.

Well-said. Appropriately something an animal-lover would be wont to discover 🙏 Something our doggos understand that often eludes us for the human experience.

I have a very very similar experience, and it started to hit me hard. I was in a wreck last July and it just kind of changed everything in my life, actually led to most of my diagnoses and being on healthcare. Now, given the diagnoses, the health care is going to be permanent. I went to a rehab clinic not sure where else to turn, and found out that there are "vocational rehab" centers in most places, which may receive government assistance, and have all sorts of programs to help place us into jobs that may fit. Some employers receive a stipend for hiring disabled folks, or have some particular reason to hire particular disabilities, just keep pushing!
