Thinking about and helping others has helped me keep my focus off of my depression. Reaching out to people in my congregation and offering to help them by providing a meal or buying groceries. Or simply sending encouraging cards to the sick and disabled people in my congregation has helped me greatly.

Anxiety is a huge trigger of depression. So can try to find the root of your anxiety. Listening to calming music and "emptying my mind" can help. I know that's hard with depression, but stay with me. The best way I can describe it, is when your in a comfortable position, listen to each beat at a time. Try paying attention to it. It's a form of music meditation. Actually helps because i have adhd too lol But also I found that research on random facts or various interests helps get my mind off stuff. Also watching random YouTube videos on strange facts or weird history. Just filling my head basically with anything else at that moment. Hope that helps 😌

I talk to people that make me feel happy I go outside and practice volleyball I just try to think about all the things that make me happy and I tell myself that it might feel like life sucks rn but it will get better. 💕 ❤️ 🤗
