I'm not a big fan of taking meds. I understand that many believe it to be a chemical problem in the brain, but I don't really trust pharmaceutical companies or the AMA, for that matter. When folks are out to just make money, that has me skeptical. I focus on my work. I work as an EMT and have to show caring and compassion as part of the healing process for the patient. This makes me put the depression on the back burner, so to speak. It is also very rewarding when you truly help someone. The depression usually returns, but at least I take a break from it for a bit.

When I get REALLY depressed, like down bad kind of depressed, I depend on crisis care. It's saved my life.
Honestly drawing really helps me I suck at it but its just being focused on that and forgetting everything for a while that seems to help
I use medication (which has helped me the most), therapy, and trying to remember to lean on my support system
