I'm not depressed about it, I've learned to accept it and embrace it

I totally get it, no worries, if you need to talk then just let me know

Thank you for the responses, I truly appreciate them!! I have not sought out a councilor yet and am putting that off until I can afford it. I am working on just trying to move forward and not dwell on it, but there are just times that it’s in your face and you have to deal with it. It’s those times that send me into a tailspin and I have trouble getting past it

I do occasionally have depressive moments as well with incontinence, but that’s just my burden to be bare. Others have their burdens, and they talk to people to help the emotions and to feel like they’re part of some thing. Support is Key

There is a little anxiety towards people finding out about it, but I try not to care so much about what people think

I was up front with my husband about my incontinence after about 2 weeks of dating.

Definitely not simple. Coping greatly hurt my sense of self-confidence. Following this, I started meeting with a psychologist who helped me a lot. In addition, the treatment significantly improves physical and mental feelings. Have you started any treatment?

Ya, I’ve been incontinent for almost 20 years now but still just feel so much shame and embarrassment about it. Plus it doesn’t help I have depression that just adds to it 🥴. Allot of my problem is with being active and being intimate. It’s just so embarrassing when that comes up and your trying to be romantic… I’m 48 and really love meeting new people but this is definitely making that feel less enjoyable. How do you feel with the thought of others finding out?

I’ve been incontinent my entire life and don’t know anything different. So maybe that is why I don’t feel depressed about it. It is my normal underwear

I find it really tough to accept it and to not constantly think about it

I think it could be worse, so I am grateful I am still able to make it work
