Coping with Depression and Anxiety on Tough Days

What helps you with depression and anxiety on a really rough day? Has anyone found anything helpful for body pains during a flare up from Fibromialgia?

Getting cuddles and kisses from dogs helps me feel better too so sometimes I go to the dog park just to hang out. My dog likes it too 😅

Taking really pretty nature walks at my own pace helps me with my anxiety and depression. It kind of just gives me enough good brain chemicals that I can handle stress and pain better. I also like to garden even though it hurts a little ( so I just do it in short spurts).

For the love of god, Cannabis if you can enjoy it, Magic Mushies are amazing for resetting your pain sensors and relearning how to enjoy your life, and ketamine in case of absolute agony. I’ve got a lot of co-morbidities and complications so my treatments sound more extreme than appropriate to most people, but these are surprisingly gentle given their pharmaceutical counterparts are often addicting narcotics or worse.

I don’t have fm but I have a lot of other disorders that cause pain in my body along with anxiety. I honestly smoke weed for everything and it helps so much. Sounds dumb but using as a medicine rather than a drug can really benefit. Also different for everyone

I second the weed, it's done wonders for my anxiety/PTSD/IBS. Also, a morning routine that's enjoyable has helped. On days when I have trouble getting out of bed, as soon as I have to get up for the bathroom I start some coffee. Then I'll curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and watch cartoons with my dogs. I'm still not doing much, but am at least happy I'm out of bed
