Coping with Chronic Pain: Tips and Tricks

hello all, just trying thus out. How do you get by with daily pain?

It so depends on the day, but usually my pain is deep muscle fatigue related, so those pain relief patches with lidocaine help a lot. On days where the pain is worse, I use my TENS unit. Sometimes both, if it’s a flare up day. I got my unit from my doctor but there are lots available online. Steer clear of the ones that claim to be wireless or rechargeable. The ones with the patches and wires are a lot to manage but those work the best and are used by PTs and athletic trainers.

My pain is debilitating qt times and I have thrown up because of it. It is blinding and I find that the I was afraid of admitting it to anyone. Don't hold back how bad it is sometimes at least with me it can cause more pain.

Remember that trade offs need to happen. And don't be ashamed to say no I can't if you can't of if you are saving your energy or spoons for something else

Quite honestly I will focused on something like a show, nature, meditation, or something that I love. The day I can get out of Ed I focus on the moments that I find happiness in. I also will talk to myself in my head. Something like ok you got thus just sit up. And when I do it I say good job now stand up. I'll repeat it until I do the action needed. Most the time it's to get into my wheelchair or the bathroom. I also celibate the small things no matter how small they are
