What is something that has helped you guys feel less alone when you're experiencing a serious amount of physical pain? I've found that it can be really hard to reach out at all, and eveb when I do that my physically well/relatively well friends can have a hard time relating, and/or understanding that I don't just hurt when I occasionally tell them, I hurt when I don't tell them too. Loaded question, I know.

I tend to withdraw myself from people. I get so miserable. I just don't want to bring anyone else down. I know I should reach out, buy I don't. I have a therapist, with whom I talk to. I try to get outside as much as possible and look at the better things in life. We all deal with pain differently. People that don't have it just can't understand.

That's a hard one. I just go radio silent and don't innate any calls or visits. I hate always complaining to friends or family. I live alone, 66 years old. I just try and walk as much as I can, go to physical therapy, and use my heating pad.

I try to just breathe through the pain. It is lonely and frustrating when the pain is all the time. I lean on my husband alot but still he can really understand. I hold on my faith and personal strength to see me through the days.

My dog helps me feel less alone. People don’t really understand me either and they can never understand the amount of pain I go through so I usually isolate from people. I like to knit because I feel like I can make something beautiful even though I’m in such a dark hurting place. I do use Facebook as well I’ve found multiple chronic pain groups that are really supportive.

Facebook is my go to. Once I posted pictures of my x-rays everyone had a totally different view of my condition. Actually posting more often about what I'm going through has helped. Trying to tell your friends why you are going through without sounding like complaining is very tricky.
