How do you cope with IC? I have a hard time keeping my energy since small tasks make me extremely fatigued, so it’s been harder to keep with my hobbies and such. How do you combat this?

Ugh, I completely understand. I’ve tried to cut out certain foods from my diet which can cause fatigue at times, I also try to exercise, even it’s just a short walk which can give you energy (sometimes) and I’ll have a small amount of coffee/soda on the days that I really need some energy. Otherwise, it’s been difficult going from having coffee every single morning to almost completely cutting everything out. Hope some of this helps!

I totally understand. Along with my IC I also have been menstruating for about 4 months straight which flares me up. Bleeding that long and the IC pain has been killing me. I've been so tired. Yesterday I slept for 5 hours and still felt exhausted. I've been trying to eat a ton of iron rich foods but still... I'm exhausted and feel like I never get sleep when it's all I do in my spare time. The only things that help my flare up is baking soda water and a heating pad.

Omg I wish I had the answers. This is one of my biggest struggles! Between work, school, a boyfriend, and attempting to have a social life, I’m exhausted a lot of the times. I try not to have any caffeine, and it’s been so hard. The biggest thing that’s helped me is cutting back in certain areas (I know, easier said than done). I’ve cut back the amount of days I work, which has helped. I also make plans with friends, but I don’t overdo it. As far as caffeine goes, I can have a soda occasionally, and they make caffeinated chocolate that I do well with. They also make caffeine pills. You could play around with different sources of caffeine and see if there’s one that doesn’t bother you. Hope this helps!
