How do you manage coping with the loneliness and isolation of having a chronic illness? I feel like I’m going to be without community for forever

I agree I think this is a very interesting opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar things. In general, I try to accept my “new norm” but every year or so my “normal” changes. Some days are better than others but the more I talk to my friends and family about my illness the more they understand and can be supportive. It felt like a weight was lifted when I no longer had to hide an invisible illness. Happy to support one another here.

I was literally talking about this today with my therapist & she suggested an autoimmune support group, which is kinda what we are doing here. I think the consensus is that finding a community with shared experiences can do wonders
