I remind myself that feelings aren't facts. I've been here before and come out of it, so I will do so again. This too shall pass. I remind myself that I am a super sensitive person and might be picking up on others feelings. Sometimes I put on some sad music so my feelings make more sense at the moment until it passes. If it happens frequently in a short span of time I will bring it up in counseling.

I try to keep things that make me happy readily available (including just lists of things that I enjoy so that when I’m sad, it’s not hard to find one). I also set my goal for neutral instead of happy, so I feel better about not feeling happy. I also take the time to self-soothe instead of “pushing through” or “toughing it out”. I hope this helps!
