I ve been on xanax since 1997 &I have built up a huge tolerance. I can take 3 of the 2 mg tablets and it barely fazes me. Valium makes me mean and klonopin makes me a cleptomaniac so something new would be nice

I find that practicing physical grounding before the event (so going out into my yard, barefoot, and connecting with the earth) while engaging in deep breathing techniques that I learned on the Calm app is super helpful. If I can create the space to practice this about an hour before heading out to said event, I notice a measurable difference. Also, I purposefully only surround myself now with friends/people who understand that I may need to back out at the last minute, and don’t judge me for this. That has been an equally important part of this journey. Surround yourself with people who understand & respect your anxiety, and would never make you feel bad or guilty about not attending an event because of it

I try to calm myself it doesnt always work. Like going to the dr. By the time i get there my bp is sky high.
