Try to just remain in the moment. Ground yourself first physically, go to a safe space or some place you feel safe, and then mentally ground yourself. Remind yourself that you are only where you are. Remind yourself that you are not in the bad situation that your brain is making you think. Remind yourself that you are only in that safe space that you are in. This also requires acting at the right time which is all about personal experience, so it may not work the first time you try it and that’s okay. You have to learn yourself before you apply yourself because everything is subjective, so while this may work for some, it could not work for others.

Some coping strategies include practicing breathing exercises, repeating a calming mantra, engaging in activities that distract you (such as watching videos or talking to someone who can make you laugh), going for a walk, being in nature, doing yoga, meditation, and focusing on positive aspects of your day.
