Constant Worry and Fear of Worst Case Scenarios

Does anyone else just constantly worry? And make up worst case scenarios in their head to the point that you're afraid to leave the house? I can't sleep at night cuz I imagine people breaking in. I'm so tired.

Yes, that's the world I live in. It's very rough. But honestly try telling yourself repeatedly the posatives rather than negatives. Ik it sounds crazy but it's like training your brain. Also there's a app called mindfulness. Seriously tho. Take some time couple times a day. For 5 minutes and close your eyes and think of some of your favrite things. I've even found things on YouTube for mindfulness that helps some. It's not s cure but can be helpful.. but I'm with ya ik all about it. I have panic attacks without warning when I get 3 or 4 miles away from home. It's crazy

I catastrophize all the time, but it's a bad habit. Those worst case events are usually unlikely

I do it all the time. The only thing that keeps me going is thinking about all the options *including* "but what if nothing happens? What if it all works out?" I hope that helps, and know you're not alone in that.
