Constant Migraines: What Can I Do?

i’ve had so many migraines lately. it’s everyday. i have them when i wake up, and then they stop for a while, and then i get them in the afternoon and evening. it’s awful. i can’t focus when i’m in such pain, and it makes me sick to my stomach. i take tylenol & advil whenever i feel one coming, but it just feels like i pop pill after pill. what should i do?

@Katie_M does Aimovig have side effects that you've noticed?

Find a headache specialist in your area. I started my migraine journey with a neurologist, but he just didn’t have the experience in treating chronic migraines. I found a headache specialist and there are so many treatments available (still not enough in my opinion). I do Botox every 10 weeks and have started a new med called Quilipta. I also have several abortive medications I can use that do help. You need to be careful with taking to much advil or Tylenol as you can put yourself into a wicked headache rebound cycle that will just make them worse. It is so frustrating to deal with, but please seek out a professional that can help guide you.

I suffer from chronic migraines and my neurologist put me on the medication aimovig. It’s a once monthly injection, it didn’t eliminate my migraines but made them much less frequent. It’s been the only thing to help me.
