I'm suffering from knee pain when walking. Dr. suggested I have total knee replacement i'm just nervous about that procedure. Has anyone gone through it? Any suggestions?

I’m 55. I’ve had both knees replaced. Honestly the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I was hurting all the time and now am pain free. The first two weeks I felt I had made a big mistake, but then each day was a little better. Around five months after I was so grateful to have done it. Wish I had done it sooner. Good luck to you. 💕

Hi, I had a knee replacement and after a few weeks I really felt like new. The knee did not hurt and I could go back to walking, traveling in nature and even exercising. You just need remember that it is surgery and has the risks and complications that surgery has. I have a friend whose prosthetic knee got infected and they had to put him back into surgery to replace it again. I suggest that you read carefully about the surgery and consult with the doctors so that if you decide to do it, you will understand exactly what the consequences are.
