Creon helps me have a life again. It took some time to figure out the dosage and when to take it.

Please let me know what your doctor says! This same thing happened to me but I can’t get into my GI for another month! The word “atrophy” scares the hell out of me!

I will let you know. When I saw atrophy on my results my heart sunk. I cried until the next set of test and now I'm so confused. I'm on pancreatic enzymes and have noticed some difference in my stool but that's really it. I still have pain.

Hi everyone, what's strange is quite a few months ago I went to see a GI, after giving him my symptoms we did a colonoscopy which came back normal, I then asked for a upper GI, which came back normal. When I went to his office to get these results, I asked him then why do I have such extreme gas which has putrid smell, including my bowel movements, I also suffer from IBS. He handed me a trial size bottle of Zenpep and told me to take 2 everytime I have a meal and 1 with every snack, and left the room! I was like WTF? So I seen my PC and explained to him about all this, he ordered blood and stool samples, and a ultrasound of my stomach ECT. All test were clear except blood or stool came back as EPI. So I went back to the GI Dr wanting to know why, why do I have this? He said all your results show normal on the sonogram. Isn't there something do things like this just happen?

from what I understand mine is likely from having weight loss surgery. I have malabsorption. There are other reasons people have absorption issues. There is always an underlying health condition...maybe I shouldn't say always. I'm not a doctor.

Hi! I was seen in ER twice for severe pain in my right side ( no gallbladder) was told it's pancreatitis but all test show my pancreas is normal! 😳 If I eat something high in fat, I am in pain just like when I had my gallbladder, doctors called me a mystery....does this sound similar to any of your experiences? Btw, I'm new! 🤗

somewhat. If I eat anything containing a lot of fat like red meat our if its fried yes I get pain but mine isn't just on my right side. The pain is more across the top of my abdominal area. I also had my gallbladder removed.

I also have pain when I eat things high in fat. Do you know what your triglyceride counts are? Mine are astronomical, in the thousands

Happened to me recently as well, I finally ended up seeing a pancreas specialist who ran several tests and found out that it has atrophy
